From first call
to final walkthrough.

Four steps, the same on every project, whether it is a powder room or a new house. You will always know what is happening, what comes next and who to talk to.

Start the conversation

Step 01. Conversation

Every project starts with listening. You tell us what you want to build, how you will use the space, what matters most to you and what you are hoping to avoid. We ask a lot of questions, because the answers shape everything that follows: who lives in the house, how you cook, whether you work from home, what has frustrated you about the space, what you have seen elsewhere that you loved.

We also talk honestly about what is realistic. If something you want will be difficult, expensive or not worth it, we say so at this stage rather than later. If we are not the right fit for the project, we will tell you that too. The conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Step 02. Scope and plan

Planning is where a project is really decided. It starts with a site visit to measure, photograph and look at the conditions that will affect the work. From there we develop the scope: what will be done, room by room, in enough detail that you can read it and understand exactly what you are getting.

Selections happen here, before anything is demolished. Cabinets, tile, fixtures, flooring, windows, hardware, paint, and any item with a long lead time are chosen and confirmed, because they drive dimensions, schedule and cost. Depending on the project, this step also includes drawings, engineering, permits and coordination with your architect or designer.

The result is a written plan and schedule that everyone has agreed to. Nothing is built on assumptions.

Nothing is built on assumptions.

Step 03. Build

On the first day of construction, the site is protected: floors covered, dust barriers up, pathways defined, a place for materials and a place for waste. It stays organized at the end of every working day, because a clean site is a safer, faster and more careful one.

You have a single point of contact and regular updates on what happened this week and what happens next. Scheduled walkthroughs at key milestones, such as after framing or before the walls are closed, give you the chance to see the work and ask questions while changes are still easy. When something unexpected turns up, you hear about it from us first, with options and what each one means, before anything changes.

Everyone who works on the site, whether on our team or a trade partner, is expected to treat you, your household and your neighbors with respect. That is not negotiable.

Step 04. Walkthrough

When the work is finished, we walk the space together, slowly, room by room. Anything that is not right goes on the punch list: a touch-up, an adjustment, a piece of trim, a door that should close more smoothly. We close that list out, then hand over the space with everything you need to live in it, including how the new systems work and what to expect as the house settles into use.

If something comes up after we leave, you know who to call.

?Questions

Common questions.

What happens at the first conversation?
We listen. You describe what you want to build, how you will use it, what matters most and what you are hoping to avoid. We ask questions, talk through what is realistic and agree on next steps. There is no obligation.
When are decisions about materials and finishes made?
During the scope and plan step, before any work begins. Selections drive dimensions, lead times and cost, so they are locked in before demolition rather than during the build.
How will I know what is happening during the build?
You will have a single point of contact, regular updates and scheduled walkthroughs at the milestones that matter. When something changes, you hear about it from us first, with options.
What is a punch list?
The list of small items identified at the final walkthrough, such as a touch-up, an adjustment or a missing piece of trim. We close it out before the project is considered complete.
